A performance of the Kagoshima hamabushi, an Kagoshima min'yō, with lyrics. 鹿児島県民謡の鹿児島浜節の演奏と歌詞、簡単な説明です。
--
Meaning of the lyrics:
Leaving Kagoshima and traveling 8 ri (31.4km) to the south, you will reach Fukiagehama, where sea foam can be seen.
Kagoshima Port is bustling with many ships coming and going. From here, you can see Sakurajima and also the mikan (Citrus unshiu) ships. [This refers to the legend of a wealthy merchant who amassed a great fortune on mikan ships in the Edo period]

Description:
This song is thought to have been formed during the Taishō period (1912-1926), but there are several theories as to the details. The first half of the song seems to be based on oiwake / magouta style, and the second half on Isobushi from Ibaraki Prefecture. Fukiagehama is a long beach on the west side of the Satsuma Peninsula, which does not match the content of the lyrics.
