00:00Hi, my name is Mike Francis and we're here at Landbedder Valley Vineyard in the

00:05beautiful Groynevacan Valley. This is my recently planted vineyard. We've got a

00:10thousand vines in the ground right now. The vine we've chosen is Solaris.

00:15Solaris was chosen because it's good with altitude, it's got a shorter

00:21ripening window because of the, again, where we are with the altitude, the

00:26growing season is that much smaller, so with that in mind we've chosen this

00:31vine because it suits this location. At the moment in the vineyard here, we've

00:35not long tied down and knocked off the fruit that was developing. This concentrates

00:41energy back into the plant, creating a healthier and stronger specimen for

00:47years to come.
