Im Mittelpunkt des Animationsfilms Alles für die Katz (OT: 10 Lives) steht ein Kater, der ein sicheres und gemütliches Leben führt. Was sein Frauchen Rose für ihn und die Welt leistet, weiß Beckett nicht wirklich zu schätzen. Doch das ändert sich, nachdem er sein neuntes Leben verliert: Er entkommt daraufhin zwar dem Jenseits und erhält neun neue Leben, allerdings nicht so wie erwartet.
