Right, Aidan, Elgin City debut. Is this your senior debut, your first match of senior football?
00:05
And it's a winning start, you must be delighted.
00:06
Very, and we deserved the win in the end, although we kind of made it hard for ourselves.
00:10
I don't know how we were supposed to get it, but it was on board.
00:13
It wasn't exactly the busiest of debuts for you, I mean, you were picking the ball out the net,
00:16
it was one of the first actions of the game, albeit a very good finish from Higginbotham.
00:21
Yeah, a very good finish, you know, when they go back across you, it doesn't matter how much you can do,
00:24
but, yeah, it was relatively quiet at the back line, kind of done their job, made it easy for me, so I can't complain.
00:28
I can see that that's something they want to keep continuing as long as they can, you know,
00:31
we've got the game Tuesday, the game Saturday, so it's a good busy week to try and keep getting wins.
00:36
What's the message been for you from Derek MacInnes as far as coming up here on the loan spell?
00:40
Just enjoy it, learn football as much as you can, play against men, learn the hard side of the game,
00:46
learn the more physical side of the game as well as progressing militarily, but just enjoy the time you have here.
00:51
You've had a few loan spells out already in junior football,
00:54
what's the differences you notice between the junior scene and playing SPFL?
00:57
Just the standard of the players, you know, the loan spells at the juniors are more physicality,
01:03
more rough and tumble, if you get what I mean, whereas here it's more get the ball down, play,
01:08
a bit more back into it, a bit more thought about it, yeah.
01:12
Apart from that, it's just game of football, isn't it?
01:15
And, of course, you're up here with Keane as well, it always helps having one of your pals coming up with you,
01:20
makes a journey a little bit easier, doesn't it?
01:22
Oh, far easier, yeah, it was a long four hours and we managed to get a stop in,
01:25
but, you know, somebody to talk to about music, get there in the end.
01:28
You know, at 19 you need someone that can trust you, a team like League 2,
01:32
that, you know, it's a good level to be playing at my age and to get constant game time,
01:37
you know, to throw in juice or whatever, it's a good thing to have.
01:40
Did you get, were you actually travelling with Komaric for any of the European games?
01:44
Yeah, so I travelled to Belgium and Denmark, I was on the bench for the Bruges game at home,
01:48
and Denmark away, the Copenhagen game.
01:51
That's a great experience as well, isn't it?
01:53
It's a different class, you know, getting to travel the day before, stay overnight,
01:56
see the stadiums that you might never get to see again, you know, Copenhagen for me is a different class.
02:01
Seeing the kind of star players that they have and then having the chance to go and live out it is a different class.
02:07
So you're only 19 years of age and I'm sure the aim is to be part of that and be the number one goalkeeper in the future?
02:12
Definitely, you know, I've still got plenty of time yet, so I don't want to get too ahead of myself,
02:16
just keep playing football, keep enjoying it and learn it as much as I can.
