I'm joined by Liam Hoy, joint Masculine Medalist this year. Liam, how are you feeling mate?
00:05
Yeah, very overwhelmed. Like I said up there, I was coming here just to enjoy the day and
00:10
support Dallas Moody with his live membership but yeah, very honoured to take it out alongside
00:16
Jet who's a great lad and he's obviously won it before, great footballer but I think being
00:22
a better bloke would mean more to him and hopefully he has a bit of luck this Saturday.
00:27
And yeah, you've sort of done it all now, you must be pretty happy to add that to your resume?
00:32
Yeah, like I said, it's a reflection of your team's success and what you drive for as an
00:39
individual is to be a part of a team and that's all I drive for and you know, you want a Premiership
00:43
as well but you can't win it every year and I just hope that the club can enjoy this as
00:51
a whole, it's not just my award, we're in it together.
00:54
And how did you find the season? It was still a very good season from your younger sort of side?
00:59
Yeah, it was. We're a young team, we learn every week, we're guided by a great coach
01:04
in Chris and hopefully that holds us in good stead for next year.
01:08
Yeah, I'm sure you'll be hungry for another Premiership in the not-too-distant future?
01:11
Yep, absolutely. It's what we play for and you know, falling short of that is always a disappointment.
01:18
And yeah, as you mentioned on stage, you love being a part of Karoi, you came there
01:23
after your teenage years or as a teenager and you've enjoyed every moment of it?
01:27
Yeah, I have. Just a culture that is so inclusive, one that is a great thing to be a part of.
01:36
We've had success, success breeds success and hopefully it's just the start of another
01:41
era going forward. We've laid a platform with some young kids, we've got a great junior
01:46
program, we've won the last two under-16 grand finals, so the talent's there.
01:50
Hopefully we can just continue it on.
