00:00Welcome back Sunbro, we hope you all in great health and great money.
00:04Before we start, please at least subscribe so we can have little money for food and paying bills.
00:09Alright, today we are going to talk about,
00:12How a healthy lifestyle reduces your cancer risk by 16%.
00:16Here's how lifestyle changes can lower your cancer risk by 16%.
00:20Healthy habits like eating well and exercising have a big impact.
00:23A new study shows following tips from the World Cancer Research Fund
00:26WCRF and American Institute for Cancer Research AICR reduces the risk of all cancers,
00:31including breast, colorectal and ovarian cancer.
00:341. Research Participants
00:36Experts created a simple scoring system based on how closely participants followed each
00:40recommendation. Quitting sugary drinks earned a point, drinking them regularly got zero.
00:46Partial credit was possible for halfway efforts.
00:48Scores were analyzed against cancer rates using data from the UK Biobank,
00:52with nearly 95,000 participants, average age 56, followed over 8 years.
00:57About 8% or 7,296 people developed cancer,
01:01and participants were scored from 0 to 7 based on how well they followed WCRF AICR guidelines.
01:072. Results
01:09For each point earned, cancer risk dropped by 7%.
01:12Breast and colorectal cancer risk fell by 10% per point, while kidney cancer risk dropped by 18%,
01:17ovarian by 24%, esophageal by 22%, and gallbladder by 30%.
01:23Those with the highest scores, 4.5 to 7, had a 16% lower risk of all cancers and
01:28even greater reductions for specific cancers, like breast, 18%, colorectal, 21%, kidney,
01:3336%, esophageal, 36%, and ovarian, 43%.
01:38So what are these recommendations?
01:40They include, keeping a healthy weight, staying physically active,
01:43eating lots of fruits and vegetables, limiting processed foods, red meat and sugary drinks,
01:49reducing alcohol, and avoiding supplements for cancer prevention.
01:52If you're thinking about making changes, it's important to start small.
01:56Focus on one or two habits at a time, rather than trying to overhaul everything all at once.
02:01Even small improvements can make a big difference.
