00:00The Championship's Manager of the Month for August has certainly taken well to Wearside
00:07and outlined what he has learned in his short time there.
00:11Many things, I'm still learning and I think, as I said before, the identity is very strong
00:19and the identity of the region, the fans, the story and then the way we are linking
00:29this identity with the game model is very interesting here and I think we want to take
00:36risks, we want to be bold for example and when we play like that, for example, we can
00:42have high pressure in man for man and it's very risky sometimes and the public, the fans
00:48are very aware and passionate by this energy and then they can give us this energy in return.
00:56So this link is very interesting, I think.
01:00As league leaders, teams may now look to frustrate Sunderland and their high-intensity style,
01:05a challenge that Le Brice will be keen to overcome.
01:09It's still a question of adaptation and the pitch, so the scenario and the games are always
01:19different so the identity is not only high pressure, for example, you need to master
01:26all the phases, all the single moments of the game and maybe during one game, one single
01:32game, just one part of the game model will be very useful to win and the other parts
01:38are useful but not so important for that game.
01:41So for example, against Plymouth, I don't know the scenario before but maybe we'll have
01:46more situation with possession and counter-pressing and these two situations, moments of the game
01:56maybe will be more important in that game.
02:02Le Brice then revealed how he has developed his midfield to suit his system, allowing
02:07for fluid transitions during matches.
02:10Yes, we started with only one shape in defence, in possession and one shape out of possession
02:20to be very simple but when the team now, the players are mastering these shapes, we
02:29can introduce new elements because they are able now to reach the next layer.
02:41So experiences after experiences, we can introduce new concepts and from a single and
02:48simple start, if they are able to learn, to share the ideas together, we can go very, very far.
