00:00A major WWE debut may be set, MGK and Orton had a backstage altercation, former WWE Faction
00:06in talk with AEW and more.
00:08Hello, I'm Tempest and this is the WrestleTalk News.
00:16After a summer full of anticipation and hope that one company or another would get a shot
00:20in the arm with regards to their tag division, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin of the Motor
00:24City Machine Guns may finally be set to debut for WWE with a potential date in mind.
00:29PWNexus has reported on Twitter,
00:32Sources close to PWNexus have informed us that Motor City Machine Guns are NXT bound,
00:37with their debut potentially as soon as NXT's CW premiere.
00:41We are working to reach out to other sources to further confirm.
00:44WWE has been going the extra mile in preparation for the upcoming NXT debut on the CW Network
00:50with the Men's and Women's NXT Championships scheduled to be defended and multiple appearances
00:54from main roster stars CM Punk, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and The Miz all announced ahead
01:00of October 1st.
01:01The Motor City Machine Guns have been top free agents since their contracts expired
01:05with TNA Wrestling on April 1st and have continued to make independent appearances since that
01:10day.
01:11Neither Alex Shelley nor Chris Sabin have ever had a WWE run to this point, with the
01:14only small exception coming in the form of Shelley's first round exit from the 2020
01:18Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside former TimeSplitters teammate Kushida.
01:23PWNexus is still a largely unconfirmed source, so keep it locked on WrestleTalk and WrestleTalk.com
01:28for continued updates on the status of one of wrestling's most influential teams.
01:32Machine Gun Kelly, best known for once cancelling a concert after getting punched in the chest
01:3665 times, has once again started causing a ruckus within WWE.
01:40However, this time it has not played out in front of the camera, or really any cameras
01:46at all.
01:47Speaking on Logan Paul's Impulsive podcast, MGK revealed that he and Randy Orton had a
01:52backstage altercation at WWE's Summerslam event, saying,
01:56I saw Randy Orton.
01:57I remember seeing Randy Orton talking s*** about me.
02:00There is a point where I was like, I'm going to practice a new version of myself.
02:043, 2, 1, f*** that.
02:07A-Man, f*** you.
02:09All my boys were sitting there stunned.
02:11Is this real?
02:12I don't know what's happening.
02:13The amount of people that pinned me as the aggressor in every situation I'm in are
02:17so wrong.
02:19Machine Gun Kelly has been a frequent guest of WWE's over the past 12 years, with the
02:23artist performing at WrestleMania 28, and more recently, aiding Logan Paul in his Summerslam
02:27U.S. title match with Los Angeles Knight.
02:30So a backstage altercation with one of WWE's biggest stars would certainly be cause for
02:34concern.
02:35However, the backstage reaction to this altercation would tell a different story.
02:40Fiefel Select has reported,
02:42Every WWE talent or staffer that we've spoken to has said that they did not hear about the
02:46alleged incident until MGK's appearance on Impulsive.
02:49The initial assumption was that MGK was working with his comments, as those around him say
02:54he seemed like he's enjoyed himself.
02:56And in case you needed a bit more confirmation straight from the other half of this alleged
02:59brouhaha, they continue by saying,
03:02Anyone who asked Orton about the situation was just told outright it didn't happen.
03:07I guess we may have to wait to see MGK get that RKO.
03:10Randy did have a feud with his buddy Logan Paul earlier this year, so you never know.
03:14Hello and welcome to another edition of Survival Series, the show where you gotta name em all.
03:20Today, I need you to name me every single WWE pay-per-view.
03:27What?
03:32WrestleMania, WrestleMania.
03:36What should be the big five?
03:37December does this member!
03:39Ding!
03:40A crazy time at the Coliseum.
03:42Oh, was that, is this WWE or is this one of those other companies, you know, the wrestling?
03:49Just a song just popping out of my head just now.
03:51This is 20 pounds.
03:52Better than Ivan Barrett's fake-ass money.
03:55WWE everywhere, WWE excitement, WWE exit music, WWE family Fridays.
04:06With the 2020s nearly half over, why would I make that the segue?
04:10I'm going to be thinking about my mortality for the rest of the day.
04:13With the 2020s somehow nearly half over, it is safe to say that one of the most underutilized
04:19factions in pro wrestling this decade was the Hurt Business, but now it does appear
04:24that the group may be getting another chance to write their story.
04:27Fightful Select has reported such, saying we can confirm there have been discussions
04:31and even so plans to continue a faction similar to the Hurt Business outside WWE.
04:37They go on to say that specifically we've heard that AEW has had discussions with Bobby
04:42Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin in recent weeks, however, we've not been told that
04:47a deal was done or imminent.
04:49The trademark for the name the Hurt Syndicate was filed two weeks ago, which in turn caused
04:54the wrestling world to get themselves very excited about the prospect of seeing the once
04:57popular faction take on all comers once again.
05:00It should also be noted that while Bobby Lashley's WWE contract recently expired, former Hurt
05:04Business member Cedric Alexander recently signed a new contract with WWE, so he will
05:09not be part of any plans with the faction going forward.
05:12Earlier this week, we noted that as per Eboo, comma, of WrestlePurus, the real reason Daniel
05:17Garcia lost to MJF at All Out was that he had not signed a new contract with the company
05:22up to that point.
05:23Now, Fightful Select has confirmed that news, and added some additional information regarding
05:27what some are saying about Garcia within AEW, saying one top talent had been under the impression
05:33this summer that Garcia was staying, but that is far from a guarantee.
05:37AEW believes that WWE has interest in Garcia, but we've not heard if any contact has been
05:43made as of yet.
05:44Garcia had been written off TV months ago following an attack from MJF, but made his
05:48return at All In where he cost our dear friend Max his AEW American Championship, causing
05:54many fans to think that a new deal had been signed.
05:56We now know that is not the case, but we'll continue to update you on Garcia and his hot
06:01Latin hips.
06:02I don't know why, but that made me miss Sat.
06:06It's been nearly five months since we last saw the magical girl Yuka Sakazaki and her
06:11incredible trousers in AEW, but fans need not wait any more.
06:16Well, one more day, but that is it, I promise.
06:19Sakazaki had not wrestled since injuring her leg against Emi Sakura on the April 20th edition
06:24of AEW Rampage, but made her return at this week's Collision Taping.
06:28She faced Serena Deeb on the show, picking up where the two left off at the time of Sakazaki's
06:32injury.
06:33Fightful Select has added some more detail to the timeline of her return as well, saying
06:36we're told she was at a recent AEW Dynamite around All In to get her status updated.
06:41Sakazaki had previously announced that she was moving to the United States following
06:45her departure from Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling, so now with her injury woes behind her, hopefully
06:50big things lie ahead.
06:51Like those pants.
06:52They are so poofy.
06:56I want them.
06:57Speaking of injury news, one half of the Renegade twins, Charlotte Renegade, who I am just now
07:01learning is spelled with an E, may also be getting closer to a return to the ring, having
07:07been out of action since December 2023 with an undisclosed injury.
07:11Fightful Select has reported Charlotte Renegade is backstage at tonight's AEW tapings, and
07:15we're told is hopefully closer to being cleared.
07:18Charlotte's twin sister Robin, who spells her name with a Y, has continued to wrestle
07:22in her absence, most recently appearing as the return opponent of Jamie Hayter.
07:26On the September 4th episode of AEW Dynamite, we here at WrestleTalk continue to wish Charlotte
07:31a speedy and full recovery.
07:33After nearly two years in TNA Wrestling, Giselle Shaw has finished up with the company.
07:36It had been announced last week that Shaw would not be continuing on with TNA, and on
07:40this week's episode of Impact, she had her final match with the promotion, for the time
07:44being, losing to Heather Reckless.
07:46This comes just as Shaw was announced for a major match against Athena for the ROH Women's
07:50World Championship at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling's two-night Forged in Excellence event set for
07:55October 19th and 20th.
07:57Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling is being run by former TNA figurehead Scott D'Amour, who was fired
08:01by TNA's parent company, Anthem, earlier this year.
08:04D'Amour obviously would have spent a great deal of time with Shaw during their time in
08:07TNA, and this booking clearly speaks to how highly she is held in his regard.
08:11Support Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling!
08:13Canadian Pro Wrestling will flourish once again!
08:15At one point in time, it seemed possible, and maybe even plausible, that Drew McIntyre
08:20would depart WWE in search of greener pastures.
08:23Had that come to pass, we would have no doubt been treated to dozens of amazing first-time
08:27matches that everyone watching this video would have loved to have seen, and that would
08:31appear to include Drew himself.
08:33Unsurprising, as he has always been one of our most passionate supporters, commenting
08:36on every video, username found below, PunkFan69420.
08:41During a Reddit AMA, Drew was asked who he would most like to wrestle that is not currently
08:45in WWE.
08:46He gave five names, Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada from AEW, Tetsuya Naito and Tomohiro
08:52Ishii from New Japan Pro Wrestling, and of course, Joe Hendry.
08:59Now Drew vs. Hendry, clap clap, is certainly the most likely of these matches to take place
09:03in our version of reality, with WWE's ongoing working relationship with TNA meaning Joe
09:08Hendry fever has swept NXT.
09:11But this is also the only match of the five listed that has happened before, with the
09:15pair competing many times on the UK indies during McIntyre's three year absence from
09:19WWE.
09:20As for the other matches listed, WWE has been more open to playing with others as of late,
09:24be that for one reason or another, so seeing McIntyre mix it up with the likes of Omega
09:28and Naito may not be the impossibility that it once was.
09:32Who knows what the future holds.
09:33With the All Out Fallout taking place on AEW Dynamite, fans came out in droves to see what
09:38would happen next.
09:40Well, maybe like one drove.
09:428% of a drove.
09:43What the f*** is a drove?
09:45According to WrestleNomics, viewership for Dynamite was up 8% compared to the All Out
09:49Go-Home Show, with an average of 716,000 viewers on the night.
09:54This is the highest average AEW has achieved since the Blood & Guts special on July 24th,
09:58and is a 4% increase over the previous four weeks.
10:01Dynamite on the night was second on cable, only trailing the MTV Music Video Awards and
10:06Sabrina Carpenter's glorious big hair.
10:08That's gonna do it for me, but make sure you check back in tomorrow for my review of
10:11the Smackdown season premiere, but until then, check out the newest episode of Survival Series
10:16available over on PartsFunKnown.
