00:00So I'm Carl, I'm Carla, and the reason why we took part of Mums on Strike was due to
00:09the fact of me really not understanding as much as what Carla does around the house really.
00:15I'm like, I'm a workaholic, so everything consisted around work, work, work, work, work,
00:20work.
00:21And I just didn't understand or see the graph that Carla actually puts into the house.
00:25Yeah, it did get to a point in our relationship where we actually separated because I felt
00:30so sick to death of feeling like I'm the one that does everything and Carl not recognising
00:34what jobs I do.
00:35And Carl would come home and he'd start huffing and puffing at me, so.
00:38Yeah, I think I learned my lesson, let's say.
00:41You know, there was a lot to it.
00:43I didn't understand exactly what went into the cleaning of the house and the maintaining
00:47of the kids and the school runs and the packed lunches.
00:50So I think within two days, I think I wanted to pull my hair out.
00:54The hardest part for me was identifying what jobs needed to be done.
00:59Because I didn't really help out with much of them, I didn't really get the gist of what
01:03I had to do.
01:04So I was winging it for the first day or so.
01:07But then as time went on, you know, it became known to me exactly what I needed to do around
01:12the house.
01:13You know, the washing, dishwasher obviously has to be done.
01:17When you're getting the kids ready for school in the morning, for example, trying to find
01:20their school clothes and getting them out on time to school because they have to be
01:23at school at a certain time.
01:25So it's, you know, sticking to certain schedules.
01:27Dustin.
01:28I've never even looked at Dustin.
01:32It was an eye-opener, I'll put it that way, but I think we're glad that we did the show.
01:38It's really helped us out.
01:40It's made me look at things a little bit differently.
01:42And I think I've been right to say that I think I'm a little bit better now, don't you think?
01:47Oh yeah, he does so much more now to help out.
01:49It's like 50-50, isn't it?
01:51And he identifies when there's different things that need doing, I don't have to say it to him.
01:55Now it's like a real family partnership and we have decided that the marriage is back
02:00on and we are going to get married.
02:03So yeah, it's all been good since we've took part in the show.
