00:05against the president's veto of the pension mobility law that was being discussed in Congress.

00:10The Provincial Memory Commission reported that among the injured were several elderly

00:15people, press workers and even two children aged 11 and 9.

00:21The police aggression involved pepper spray and rubber bullets and occurred just minutes

00:25after the vote in the Chamber of Deputies that sought to override President Javier Mele's

00:31veto of the law that was intended to improve the income of retirees.

00:36The vote was 153 in favor, 87 against and 8 abstentions, which meant that it did not

00:42have the two-thirds required for the law to overcome the presidential veto.
