The 29-year-old Independent senator for Western Australia questioned the federal government's plans to ban social media for teens under 14 using the language of Gen Z and Gen Alphas on Wednesday September 11, 2024.

00:00Today, I rise to address an oft-forgotten segment of our society.

00:04I speak of Generation Z, who will be playing a substantial role in the next election, and

00:09Generation Alpha, who will start to come of age the election after.

00:14It is for this reason that I shall now render the remainder of my statement using language

00:21To the Sigmas of Australia, I say that this goofy-air government have been capping, not

00:27just now, but for a long time.

00:38They yap non-stop about how their cost-of-living measures are changing lives for all Australians.
