An Edinburgh woman is urging others to regularly self-check for signs of cancer following the death of her older sister - spreading the message ‘if something doesn’t feel right, I flag it’.

Terry was just always the person that was there for everybody.

When I was growing up I was like, I want to be like my big sister.

She went to the doctor and they told her on the spot that she had cancer.

There was no emotion, it was almost like, we'll be fine, we'll get through it.

We were coming up to that five-year point of her being in remission and cancer-free.

The cancer was back but it was in her pancreas and in her liver.

It was incurable.

I sat down with her and she held my hand and she went, it's your turn to look after the

family and I was, sorry.

I just really hope that I make her proud every day and I miss her.
