Kementerian menggenjot eksplorasi terhadap potensi-potensi sumur-sumur minyak baru melakukan optimalisasi terhadap sumur-sumur minyak yang ada hingga mengidentifikasi untuk mengoptimalkan potensi sumur-sumur ideal yang masih produktif.

00:48As we know, Indonesia has experienced an oil production surplus of 1.6 million barrels per day,

00:54with a consumption of only 700,000 barrels.

00:58However, currently, Indonesia's oil lifting is only through 600,000 barrels per day,

01:03with a consumption of up to 1.6 million barrels per day.

01:06In addition to increasing oil production, the government is also keen to increase LPG production.

01:11Currently, the domestic demand for LPG alone reaches 7 million tons per year,

01:15while domestic production is only 1.9 million tons.

01:19Therefore, there is no other way than to increase our oil lifting by using three approaches.

01:26First, we must immediately explore the potential of new oil wells.

01:35Second, we must optimize existing oil wells,

01:40because 65% of the total oil lifting is controlled by Pertamina and 25% by Exxon.

01:46There must be an intervention from the technology sector to increase oil lifting,

01:50through EOR technology and others.

01:53Third, we are also identifying ways to optimize the potential of still productive ideal wells.

02:02Bahlil added that in order to reduce import dependence,

02:05he encourages the use of propane or C3 and butane or C4 in LPG,

02:11by developing the LPG industry in Indonesia.

02:14Not only that, the government also built a household gas network

02:17to be able to use gas resources in the country to replace the role of LPG savings.
