00:00The life of a Welsh football fan has been a roller coaster for such a long time. We've
00:08had bleak lows, unbelievable highs and heartbreak all scattered around. But for plenty in the
00:13red wall, Craig Bellamy, in his short time in charge so far, already seems like a positive
00:18and consistent figure. He's overseen a full camp of two matches as a manager and already
00:23seems to have changed the culture on and off the pitch. Fans were chanting his name throughout
00:28the most recent match in Montenegro and play have spoken very highly of him so far. He's
00:33saying and doing a lot of the right things at the moment and after the Turkey and Montenegro
00:37matches, fans will be hoping he pushes on into the next camp.
00:43The opening game of the Nations League last Friday against Turkey was a game that very
00:46few had seen Wales ever play. Right from the first minute, Wales were attacking, fluid
00:51and stylish in their play and that lasted basically the whole match. If it wasn't for
00:55some poor finishing, it could have easily ended up 3-0.
01:01Then fast forward to Monday night and some of the wettest conditions you'll see a game
01:04of football played in. Wales go up 2-0 after just three minutes, again something very few
01:09Welsh fans will have ever seen, with the last time we did that having been way back in 1961.
01:15Montenegro got a goal back, but it ended 2-1 in horrendous conditions.
01:19We've been used to seeing regimented, defensive, often boring football, but under Bellamy there
01:24clearly seems to be a change in style and with the right players, it could be a design
01:28for success.
01:31Next up will be Iceland and Montenegro again and with a renewed sense of optimism, some
01:35experience of Bellamy's playing style and young players getting decent game time at
01:39their clubs this season, Wales will be hopeful of getting promotion in the Nations League,
01:44improving our world ranking and giving us the very best chance for qualifying for the
01:48World Cup over in 2026.
01:51In December we'll find out who will be playing in the World Cup qualifiers and that will
01:55be where the real business starts.
