00:00Craig Bellamy couldn't resist a playful dig at Wrexham after the club had three named players in the Wales squad for the first time in 15 years.
00:11Bellamy announced his 25-man squad for the upcoming fixtures against Kazakhstan and Canada with goalkeeper Danny Ward, forward Nathan Broadhead and striker Kiefer Moore all included.
00:22The trio were signed by the Red Dragons this summer for a combined fee of up to £12m following their promotion to the Championship.
00:32Broadhead arrived from Ipswich for a club record fee of up to £10m. Moore joined from Sheffield United for £2m in early August and has already scored three goals in four games,
00:43while Ward returned to his boyhood club on a free transfer from Leicester City in July.
00:49Their selection marks the first time Wrexham players have featured in a Wales squad since Neil Taylor's call-up in May 2010, shortly before he moved to Swansea.
01:01The announcement was made in a suite named after Wrexham's Winston Arms Hotel, the birthplace of the Football Association of Wales in 1876.
01:11Asked about the significance of having players from three of Wales' four EFL clubs, including Swansea and Cardiff,
01:20Bellamy joked what money can do as he praised Wrexham's remarkable ascent.
01:26Under the ownership of Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, the club has enjoyed three consecutive promotions,
01:34moving from the National League to the Championship.
01:37It's just the journey of Wrexham, I think we're all captivated by it and it's been amazing for Welsh football
01:44and hopefully in a number of years as well we'll see young players coming through that
01:48and surely whether it's Swansea, Newport, Cardiff, Wrexham, the better they do then the better chance we have of being a stronger nation in football.
01:59So, always positive.
02:04The Red Dragons' presence in the national team reflects both their meteoric rise and the growing strength of Welsh talent throughout the EFL.
02:12Let's stop going.
