Mergernya PT Angkasa Pura I dan II menjadi PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia telah resmi ditetapkan akan membuat Indonesia berada di peringkat 5 sebagai operator Bandara terbesar dunia.  Angkasa Pura diharapkan bukan hanya menjalankan ekosistem sarana perjalanan saja, tetapi juga sebagai pusat kehidupan manusia.
