00:10all looking happy in the Norfolk countryside and at the beach.

00:14A peaceful setting as she announced the end of her cancer treatment.

00:18As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is

00:22to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.

00:25The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family.

00:31In December last year, the Princess disappeared from the public eye,

00:35prompting concern over her well-being.

00:38The following month, royal officials announced she was to stay in hospital

00:41for up to two weeks following abdominal surgery.

00:45Kate then revealed her cancer diagnosis in March,

00:48adding that she would need privacy as she underwent treatment.

00:51Aged 42, the Princess says she looks forward to returning to public duties,

00:55but will do so gradually.

00:57Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long

01:04and I must continue to take each day as it comes.

01:08I am, however, looking forward to being back at work

01:11and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.

01:16The Princess voiced her gratitude for the support she's received during her recovery,

01:20adding that she has a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.

01:25She also expressed solidarity with others battling cancer.

01:29Among them is King Charles III,

01:30whose diagnosis was announced by Buckingham Palace in February.
