I'm joined by Steph Townsend, coach of Narendra's B-Grade Premiership winning side.
00:04
Steph, you must be happy with that?
00:05
Yeah, really happy.
00:06
The girls, they were fantastic and they've capped off what was a stalling year and managed
00:12
to get through as Premiers and Champions, which is an exceptional thing.
00:16
And they started well, they were on fire from the start, you must have been happy with that?
00:19
Yeah, the start, we put a lot of emphasis on our first quarter and we have throughout
00:24
the season and I thought they executed the first quarter really well.
00:27
And how have you enjoyed the year?
00:28
Have you seen a lot of promise, seen a lot of good play?
00:31
It's been so fun, they're the best bunch of girls to coach and yeah, I've enjoyed it.
00:36
It was really nice to step back into the coaching ranks after a few years off and yeah, I mean
00:41
I'm very fortunate to come away with a medal that the girls really worked super hard for
00:46
that yeah, I loved every second of it.
00:47
And a good start for the club, you've got two more finals for the Netball.
00:50
Yeah, it was pretty nerve-wracking actually because I was obviously the first game of
00:54
three but hopefully that sets us up with the great momentum going forward.
00:58
And Shannara Drayton's best on court, must have been impressed by her?
01:01
Yeah, Shazzy's played fantastic all season, very consistent and I asked a fair bit of
01:06
her today and she come out all guns blazing and it was so good.
01:10
Sounds good, thanks for that.
01:11
Thanks mate.
