With a wry smile, Putin backs Harris in US election  Russian President Vladimir Putin says he will support US Vice President Kamala Harris in the November presidential election. Speaking during the annual Eastern Economic Forum in the Russian city of Vladivostok, Putin says current US President Joe Biden 'recommended that all his supporters back Mrs Harris, so we will do the same, we will support her.' He added that Donald Trump, Republican opponent, imposed more sanctions on Russia "than any president has ever imposed before." 00:16He was removed from the race, but he recommended to all his supporters to support Mrs. Harris.

00:26And we will do the same, we will support her.

00:29This, first of all, and, secondly, it is outrageous to laugh that this means that she is doing well.

00:37And if she is doing well, then Trump has introduced so many restrictions and sanctions against Russia that no president has introduced them before.

00:54And if Mrs. Harris is doing well, then maybe she will refrain from such actions.
