Taiwan is 'not the only target' of China's coercion, says American Institute

Taiwan is not the "only target" of Chinese "intimidation and coercion," says Raymond Greene, director of the American Institute in Taiwan and new de-facto US ambassador to the democratic island. Speaking in Taipei, Greene says the threat is "not only in the military sphere", but also includes "legal measures" and "cyber threats."

00:26The challenge that Taiwan faces from the People's Republic of China is not only in the military sphere,

00:31but we see it in other aspects, including through legal measures, through cyber threats, and other means.

00:38So building up Taiwan's whole society resilience, we see as directly contributing to cross-strait peace and stability.
