00:00But we start with big news entering one of the biggest

00:05games of this first full Saturday. A top 15 tilt in

00:10Atlanta. It's the top ranked team in the country entering

00:132024 Georgia taking on 14th ranked Clemson and Lacey Guy in

00:18the last half an hour. It was expected and now confirmed

00:22Trevor Etn the transfer running back from Florida now with UGA

00:26has been suspended for this opening game of the season for

00:31Georgia. What does that do for Kirby smarts dogs offensively?

00:34Well, I think it's you know, system as usual because they

00:37are a very balanced offense. Last year they averaged 40

00:40points per game. They ran it for 191 per game and they threw

00:44with their quarterback Carson Beck a Heisman Trophy front

00:47runner for 305 passing yards per game physical offensive line.

00:51It's going to be running back by committee Kev, but I don't

00:54think it changes the offensive philosophy in any way. They're

00:57going to look to pound the rock on that front seven and then

01:00utilize Carson Beck over the top later today. It's not great

01:03when you have to start a Georgia breakdown by Googling

01:06who is suspended, but that's kind of the state of the

01:09Bulldogs right now, but they have plenty. I mean if this

01:12team was going to lose at one position, you would probably

01:15want it to be running back. I know there's a couple of other

01:17spots, but let's remember this is a Georgia Bulldogs team that

01:21is not supposed to just sit back and run the ball and rely on

01:24the defense and win games 21 to seven. This is supposed to

01:27be one of the best offenses in college football. There are

01:30going to be people out there who argue this is the best

01:33offense in college football and when the best offenses in

01:36college football take the field, that means they're live

01:38to score 49 plus in any given game. The total in this football

01:43game is 48 and a half with respect to Clemson. This total

01:48is way too low in my opinion here because Georgia if they're

01:52rocking and rolling can clear it on their own two years ago

01:56against Oregon in this building. They did just that

01:58with 49 points last year. They had multiple 50 point

02:02performances against ranked competition because nobody gets

02:06up for a big opponent like the Georgia Bulldogs. No Samford UT

02:10Martin to open it up this year. It is a neutral site game in

02:14Atlanta and there will be a lot of orange for those Tigers from

02:18Clemson, South Carolina but in the ATL in Atlanta, there's

02:22going to be a lot of red today for Georgia. You mentioned the

02:26total 48 and a half. These two teams started the 2021 college

02:32football season against one another and we drive every

02:36conversation through the odds perspective. So, let's do a

02:39little bit of math here based on the numbers kept to start

02:42that 2021 season in Charlotte. Neutral site game between the

02:46Tigers and the Bulldogs. It was a top five tilt and to really

02:50show you the trajectory of these two programs in the last

02:52three college football seasons to begin 2021. Clemson was a

02:57three-point favorite to start 2024. Georgia now listed as a

03:01twelve and a half point favorite. That is nearly three

03:04scores of movement between these two sides in just over

03:08three years. In the past three years, UGA has won two national

03:12championships. In the past three years, Clemson after

03:15entering 2021 on a six-year streak of reaching the college

03:19football playoff and winning an ACC crown has not been back to

03:22the CFP. The thing is since that game against Georgia, how

03:25many reps does Clemson have against the very best teams in

03:28college football? They haven't been able to make the CFP and

03:30the ACC has not been loaded with top top teams. The one you

03:34could mention is last year's Florida State team and Clemson

03:38certainly hung in that game. Some would argue they deserve

03:40to win it. It went to overtime and they lost that game but

03:44again, they lost that football game. We've not seen Clemson

03:47flash that they are of that level and and look, the Georgia

03:50level is completely different. I mean, we're not sure if

03:53Clemson is on the call it Alabama Ole Miss level of

03:58college football teams and II know people will hear that and

04:00it'll sound jarring but it's not what we've seen from the

04:04Tigers. I know last year they rounded into form down the

04:07backstretch guys but I didn't see enough from Cade Klubnik

04:12in those wins to give me confidence that Clemson is

04:15going to take advantage of what could be early results are in

04:19a weak ACC this year. Yeah, great point. I think when you

04:22look at Cade Klubnik last year, completed 62% of his passes,

04:26nineteen touchdowns, nine interceptions. To Kevin's point,

04:29they won five games by an average margin down the

04:31stretch of 10.6 points per game but Klubnik was

04:34inconsistent, especially against Florida State. They had

04:37an opportunity to win that game in Death Valley, holds the ball

04:40too long. You get the scoop and score. That tied it up and

04:43ultimately lost the ball game in Death Valley and that really

04:46started the season to be reeling after they lost week

04:49number one to Duke. They lost the first four games in regards

04:52to the four conference games for the first time since prior

04:55to 2014. They need to step up and they need to put pressure

05:00on Georgia's defense. Georgia as great as they are

05:02offensively still had the number one ranked third down defense

05:05in all of college football holding opposing offenses guys

05:09to 25% of third down opportunities. Clemson needs

05:12to sustain drives. We'll see if they could do it today.
