00:00This is Sam.
00:02She fell in love with Michael.
00:05The couple get a lot of attention
00:07because of their two-foot height difference.
00:10We have so many people trying to take pictures.
00:13It's sometimes scary because people will follow me.
00:16We see comments all the time like,
00:18oh, how did he even get with her?
00:20Oh, he's ugly.
00:21That man know he's straight-violating.
00:23Laughing faces.
00:25Today the couple are speaking to one of Sam's old friends
00:28to find out what he really thought about Michael.
00:31I was thinking it was just like a little fling.
00:34You know, obviously he didn't really like Michael.
00:37So today, you guys,
00:39we are going to make one of my favourite home-cooked meals.
00:42You guys ready? Let's go.
00:44I'm Sam, I have a dwarfism and I'm four foot tall.
00:47I'm Michael, I'm 6'2".
00:49And people say our relationship is like a freak show.
00:52So when we first met, I seen her at the party
00:56and I just seen that she was a little person.
00:59So, like, she caught my eye quick.
01:01I added her on Facebook and inboxed her
01:05and it just, the rest is history, I guess.
01:08We get trolled for our height difference all of the time.
01:11We never met, that's what I'm going to say.
01:14I just seen her.
01:15And then was stalking me for a while.
01:17I seen him in person for the first time
01:19and I was like, dang, he's kind of cute.
01:21Don't cry.
01:23If I had to be honest,
01:25the first thing that caught my eye about her was her booty.
01:28I knew you were going to say that.
01:30It's true, because the first time I seen her,
01:33I was like, damn.
01:35And scene, and scene.
01:40We just want to get them nice and soft
01:42so that they're easy to smash.
01:44I have a dwarfism called chondrodystrophy.
01:47It affects me a lot throughout my day.
01:50There's times when I need something up high
01:52and if he's at work.
01:54I try to make sure that I have at least
01:56two or three stools around me.
01:58I have to make it work, so my biggest thing is
02:01fixing it to make it easier for me,
02:03however that may be.
02:05So a lot of the times people are like,
02:07I don't understand how that works.
02:09They always move towards the bedroom.
02:11They'll be like, oh, he'll crush her.
02:13Or like stupid stuff like that, you know what I mean?
02:16In public, they'll come around at the store,
02:19come down another aisle just to get a picture
02:22or just to look at us and double take.
02:24Okay.
02:25Hey babe, did you upload the chicken stew video?
02:28Yes, I did.
02:30I want to check out the comments.
02:32He doesn't look too happy standing beside his tiny woman.
02:35Brody understood the mission because
02:37they're trying to make me a f***, I guess.
02:41That man know he's straight violating.
02:44And laughing faces.
02:46Hold up, wait a minute, wait a minute.
02:48What are we waiting a minute for?
02:50What's the next comment you have to say?
02:52You're too cute for him.
02:54Why don't you look for someone better looking?
02:56But I think you're hot, so I don't know.
02:58Happy Father's Day to your handsome husband.
03:00Girl, bye.
03:02I feel like people were jealous of me
03:04because of how beautiful and everything else about her.
03:09Aw, thank you, baby.
03:11I try not to pay attention to any of that stuff.
03:14I'm a lover, not a fighter.
03:16I feel like the hate has definitely made us stronger as a couple.
03:19It really puts a test to our relationship
03:21to see how, you know, much we have each other's backs
03:25in this situation called life.
03:28With me being a little person,
03:30a lot of people wanted to be with me behind closed doors,
03:33but never in public.
03:36I even had an incident where a guy asked me to homecoming
03:39and then took it back because he was embarrassed.
03:43And that probably was one of the most hurtful things
03:46that has happened to me.
03:49I think I'm going to call my friend Jason
03:51because remember in the beginning he wasn't too sure about you?
03:54So I'm a little afraid about what he's going to say.
03:57So you know I have some questions for you.
03:59What did you really think of Michael when I told you about him?
04:05Um, you know, I was a little weary.
04:08I had to look out for my girl.
04:10What did the rest of our friend group think?
04:12Our friend group don't bite their tongue at all.
04:14No, they don't. They don't.
04:16He's heard it from our mouths aplenty also
04:19that we were all always going to be looking out for her.
04:22And you know, obviously he didn't really like Michael at first.
04:26I was obviously thinking maybe it was like
04:28just like a little fling or, you know,
04:32boys will be boys and players will be players.
04:34Right.
04:37With that being said, so then how do you feel about him now?
04:41I mean, what really kind of changed my mind was
04:46probably when Sam really found out when she was pregnant.
04:49I feel like he's, you know, stepped up to the plate
04:52to really help you provide for this baby.
04:56Yeah, so I'm a big fan now.
04:59It really does bring another light out from her.
05:04The glow, if you would say.
05:07I love you.
05:09So obviously the height difference,
05:12he really needed to be there to help you
05:14and really to protect you from all these haters out there.
05:19Okay.
05:20Out there by yourself, always worrying to look over your shoulder.
05:23Right.
05:25Well, we're going to get back to the baby.
05:27So we'll call you tomorrow.
05:28See you later.
05:29Bye, I love you.
05:30Bye.
05:32With my parents in the beginning,
05:34my dad was a little bit like off put.
05:37I'm his only girl, so he wanted to make sure that
05:40whoever I was dating had my heart
05:43and they weren't going to break it.
05:47And then my mom, she's a little bit more on the stern type,
05:52so she was just saying, you know,
05:54make sure that he's not just using you
05:57or just wants to be with you because you're a little person
05:59or, you know, is this serious?
06:02And now my parents love him.
06:05He takes care of me and he treats me well.
06:08Look, you want to go over there and check it out?
06:12Let's go.
06:13You ready, Daddy?
06:14Let's go.
06:17Look, you see the dragonflies?
06:19When we're in public, we have so many people
06:22trying to take pictures usually,
06:24or they'll stop and be like, oh my God, are you a mom?
06:27And I'm like, obviously I'm a mom.
06:30He's a fast one.
06:32He's trying to run.
06:34If I'm ever by myself,
06:36that's why I like to always have him with me.
06:39It's sometimes scary because people will follow me
06:42and try to get pictures of me, even like guys.
06:45So it's even scary because me as a mom,
06:48I don't want to be followed or, you know, or cat-called.
06:52Want me to have a kiss?
06:56Yeah.
06:58So I think something that's really misunderstood
07:00as a mother with dwarfism is that we're not capable.
07:05When you become a mother, everything is like,
07:08you will make it happen no matter what is in your way.
07:12I make sure that I pull through for my baby,
07:14and a lot of people sometimes think,
07:15and, you know, they'll look at me,
07:16and they'll be like, oh, I feel so bad.
07:18That's probably so much work on her,
07:20or like, you know, she can't even pick him up,
07:23but I still make it work, you know,
07:26to show him that I can.
07:28What I love is just waking up every day to my family
07:32and coming home from work every day to my family.
07:36It's just the best part of my day every day.
07:42To be with someone so talented,
07:44she's creative, she's so much.
07:47I love her small like this
07:50because then I can help her more and stuff.
07:53I feel needed, I guess.
07:58I love her.
