CLP wins landslide victory over Labor in NT election

The Country Liberal Party have won the Northern Territory election in a landslide over Labor.

00:09It served as the headquarters for NT Labor during Saturday's NT election, and not long

00:14after the polls closed and voting began, analysts were already calling the election for the

00:20CLP.

00:21It was a bruising defeat for Labor, who lost even seats considered to be safe.

00:26During her confession speech, Eva Lawler reflected with sadness at the result, but thanked her

00:32colleagues for the work over the years and reflected on the achievements of Labor over

00:36the last eight years.

00:38But questions now remain about the future of NT Labor.

00:42Eva Lawler has lost her seat of Drysdale and has ruled out running for politics into the

00:47future.

00:48So who exactly will be at the helm of NT Labor into the future, and what exactly that will

00:53look like, remains to be seen.
