00:00I'm Alan Spears with Occupy Democrats and in some breaking news, Trump's bid for the

00:05presidency this year just received a devastating blow that he may not be able to fully overcome.

00:11Now if you're anything like me, and I'm terribly sorry if you are, you've been watching

00:14the Republican National Convention with utter shock and horror.

00:18It would seem that the Republicans have decided to double or triple, quadruple down on the

00:24crazy and fully embrace the lunacy that is the MAGA nation and Donald Trump.

00:31And with the news that Trump has picked J.D. Vance as his running mate this year, the concerns

00:36have only continued to grow and the safety and future of our country only continue to

00:42seem more perilous.

00:43Now, despite the RNC's rather authoritarian tone and blatant Christian nationalism, it

00:49has had its moments of, frankly, hilarity.

00:52It would seem that Trump is having a difficult time staying awake or remaining interested

00:56in what was being discussed or talked about at the time, including when his son, Don Jr.,

01:03was at the podium speaking.

01:05We've also seen the disgraced former mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani, stumble and fall

01:10his way into the RNC.

01:13Perhaps that coffee he was trying to sell was actually an Irish coffee.

01:17But I do believe that being drunk first thing in the morning and stumbling your way onto

01:20the job is pretty much the Republican motto and work ethic.

01:24Now, in addition to the RNC being a breeding ground for practically every kind of phobia

01:29that feeds into Trump's rhetoric, the recent assassination tempt on Trump's life has also

01:36served to sort of energize and invigorate his base.

01:39Further supporting the notion that the MAGA movement is a cult, many of Trump's followers

01:44and supporters have started sporting a bandage over their right ear in solidarity with the

01:49former president.

01:50It's definitely not a cult.

01:52Now, while the attempt on Trump's life may have energized his already rabid base, another

01:57group has started to come together and run interference to hopefully prevent Trump from

02:02getting re-elected.

02:03Now, in a bit of surprising news, lawyer and activist George Conway had a major announcement

02:09recently that was pretty devastating for the Trump campaign to hear.

02:14Now, funnily enough, George Conway was married to Kellyanne Conway, which is a name you might

02:19recognize as she has appeared on Fox News numerous times and was actually a senior counselor

02:25for Trump in his first term in office.

02:29Now ultimately, the two did decide to separate as of last year, however that may have been

02:34for the best considering who Kellyanne Conway worked for and what George has recently announced.

02:42Now this clip you're about to see doesn't really need too much setup and I certainly

02:45don't want to take away his thunder, so see for yourself what George Conway announced

02:50just the other day about his new efforts to prevent Donald Trump from seeing the White

02:55House again.

02:56I'm George Conway.

02:57This is the most important election of our lifetimes and I'm sorry to say the most important

03:02issue in that election isn't being addressed.

03:05Donald Trump has never been right in the head.

03:07We've all seen videos of Trump slurring words and rambling nonsensically about sharks and

03:21electrocution.

03:22You know what I'd do if there was a shark or you get electrocuted?

03:25I'll take electrocution every single time.

03:28Hannibal Lecter.

03:29The late, great Hannibal Lecter is a wonderful man.

03:35Donald Trump's problem is he's just nuts.

03:37I'll let others who know him explain.

03:39He's a populist, authoritarian, narcissist.

03:41He is a consummate narcissist.

03:44Governor Kristin Unu called Trump crazy.

03:46Adding, I don't think he's so crazy he should be in a mental institution.

03:49But if he were in one, he ain't getting out.

03:51He goes and he starts to say these wacky things.

03:53That's what scares everybody about him.

03:55Our country can't be a therapy session for a troubled man like this.

03:59John Kelly sought guidance from a book in which 27 mental health professionals warn

04:06that Donald Trump was psychologically unfit.

04:08This man is a pathological liar, a narcissist at a level I don't think this country's ever

04:13seen.

04:14Trump is not simply eccentric or odd in a good way.

04:17He's unwell, mentally unwell, in a dangerous way.

04:21He is indeed a pathological narcissist on a level we have never before seen.

04:26He's a malignant narcissist who is also a sociopath or psychopath.

04:31What these terms mean is that Trump is a man who cares about nothing but himself.

04:36Not you, not the country, not the laws and constitution that a president swears to faithfully

04:42execute.

04:43And it also means that Trump is a pathological liar and that he lacks any moral conscience

04:48or capacity for remorse.

04:50These are the psychological characteristics of dangerous cult leaders and dictators.

04:55They shouldn't be the traits of an American president.

04:58Now you haven't heard any of this discussed very much in the media.

05:02And that's because too many people are afraid of talking about mental health issues, particularly

05:07Donald Trump's.

05:08And that's the problem we're here to address.

05:11To understand Donald Trump, why he's unfit for office, and why he's a danger to the republic,

05:16you have to understand his psychological disorders.

05:20Trump's malignant narcissism explains everything about him.

05:24It explains his pathological lying, his misogyny, his racism, his authoritarianism, his endless

05:38quests for vengeance, his love for dictators.

05:41It may even explain his recent praise of Hannibal Lecter.

05:44It certainly accounts for his criminality.

05:46Four indictments on 88 counts in four courts and a conviction in one of those courts on

05:5134 counts.

05:5234.

05:53And all of this is why I'm pleased to announce the formation of the Anti-Psychopath Political

07:15The violent and hateful rhetoric that we have seen on full display at the RNC from

07:19Trump and all of his supporters is a massive danger and threat to all of us.

07:26We have seen Republicans openly admitting to and calling for Christian nationalism and

07:32using the blueprints in Project 2025 to turn our democracy into this horrible authoritarian

07:40Christian nationalist nightmare.

07:42They are not hiding the fact that they want to strip even more rights away from women.

07:47They're not hiding the fact that they hold utter contempt from non-heterosexual people.

07:52They're not hiding the fact that they have a deep hatred of immigrants, and it doesn't

07:56matter if you're here legally or illegally.

07:59They want to round everyone up and deport them.

08:03It doesn't matter what the consequences are or who is hurt or what families are torn apart.

08:09They don't care.

08:10They want to carry out this sort of bizarre cowboy justice that, in their minds, they

08:16think is perfectly fine.

08:19And this is how it starts.

08:20This is always how it starts.

08:23You do not need to take my word for it or think that I'm trying to sell you on it.

08:28Look at history.

08:29Look how historically, when authoritarian regimes rise to power, what's the first thing

08:34they do?

08:35Find an otherness.

08:36Find someone on the outside.

08:38Find an immigrant and blame all of the world's problems or woes on them.

08:44And I promise you it won't stop there.

08:46I promise you that things can and will get so much worse if people like Donald Trump

08:52and his Project 2025 come to power.

08:56And let me assure you that even if you're this white Republican from the Deep South

09:01that, ah, you might not really care too much for Trump, but you don't really like Biden

09:05either, so maybe you'll go for Trump, that's not enough.

09:09This is a man and this is a group of people who demand unfaltering, unquestioning loyalty.

09:18Just because you're in the demographic of the chosen right now does not mean that at

09:24a moment's notice they will turn their sights on you and your life will be destroyed next.

09:30Trump and his ilk are clearly psychopaths and that is why it's kind of a relief, honestly,

09:35for Conway to come forward with this pack, especially considering you already have a

09:41ton of different billionaires, like Elon Musk, funneling billions into Trump's campaign.

09:48It just blows my mind that these people are so obsessed with money.

09:53I don't understand, like, I get money is necessary for a functioning society and to live.

10:01I understand that, but this obsession with this number of how much they can make, of

10:08how much they can just drain from the working class, it is terrifying and it's inhuman.

10:15It is absolutely insane to me how willing so many of these Republicans are to just completely

10:23torch Americans.

10:25They are not interested in your well-being or doing anything for this country's benefit.

10:31They are only in this race for themselves and that is the epitome of Donald Trump's philosophy.

10:39I desperately wish that Trump's base could see how they're being taken advantage of and

10:44how Trump, he's not divinely appointed.

10:47He is not chosen by God himself.

10:49He is not a good man.

10:51He's not a good businessman.

10:53He was not a good president.

10:55He's a con man.

10:56He's a grifter and he is a terrible human being.

11:00It is why I and all of us here on Occupy Democrats and so many other people out there on social

11:07media spend so much time railing against Trump.

11:10He is a danger and I truly, truly believe in my heart of hearts he will bring about

11:16the end of democracy and the country as we know it and I must push back.

11:24And I hope that you will too with your votes this November and with your money.
