00:00The roll call for the DNC Day 2 in Chicago was a party.

00:12And this year each state got their own track while certifying their votes.

00:16Here are some of the Hot 100 No. 1's used.

00:24Kamala Harris' home state used California Love for obvious reasons and also come to

00:29native Kendrick Lamar's Not Like Us, sorry Drake.

00:37While Tim Walz's Minnesota used a medley of Prince songs including Kiss.

00:49Many anthems were from artists that called their state home.

00:52Michigan used Eminem, Indiana used MJ, Kentucky used Jack Harlow, and of course New York had

00:59to use Jay-Z and Alicia Keys.

01:06Other hometown heroes included Puerto Rico's Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, Tennessee's

01:10Dolly Parton, Washington's Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and PA's Wiz Khalifa.

01:19Some went with classics unrelated to their state like Iowa using Kool and the Gang, Maryland's

01:24Aretha Franklin, and Democrats Abroad's Love Train.

01:35While some appeared to be completely unrelated like Wyoming using Black Eyed Peas and Nebraska

01:40using Katy Perry.

01:46And the talk of the evening was definitely Beyonce's home state of Texas.

01:55Not just because of their song choice or hopes that she might make an appearance at the DNC,

01:59but because Trump's campaign's spokesperson posted this on X.

02:09Using Beyonce's Freedom, which VP Kamala has been using as her walkout song and for

02:13her political ads.

02:19At press times, spokespeople for the Trump campaign and Beyonce had not returned Billboard's

02:24request for comment.
