00:00This video was recently captured in Suffolk in the UK, but this wasn't a day out for
00:04some water sports enthusiasts.
00:07This was part of a high speed boat chase, conducted by Britain's National Crime Agency,
00:11or NCA, as they pursued two men suspected of drug smuggling.
00:15The smugglers initially stopped when hailed by NCA officials, however when questioned
00:19they attempted to flee.
00:21During the chase one of the men jumps overboard and swims to shore.
00:24Moments later the NCA brings the boat to a stop, but then the driver also jumps into
00:28the water and attempts to swim to shore as well.
00:31The agency says they apprehended both men, one on the beach at the time of this video
00:35and the other later that day.
00:37When the boat was inspected they found it contained some 350 kilos of cocaine, or what
00:42the NCA says is worth around 50 million dollars on the street.
00:46The incident occurred earlier this summer, on June 24th, however they only recently appeared
00:51at Ipswich Crown Court.
00:53Both pled guilty to importing a controlled drug.
