00:11I was actually on the first season of The Golden Bachelor, and I went there because

00:16I had been widowed for two years at the time.

00:20My husband passed away from pancreatic cancer, and I kept thinking, you know, I loved being

00:25part of a couple, but I really wasn't sure I was ready to start dating.

00:29I had a great time, but my journey was cut really, really short.

00:32I felt like I left stuff on the table.

00:34And so when The Bachelor people said that I was being considered for The Golden Bachelorette,

00:39I jumped on it.

00:40I was so excited that they even, like, thought of me because I left so early.

00:43Are you excited?

00:44Yeah, I can't wait.

00:45There was a part of me that felt like maybe I was selfish looking for a second love at

00:49this age.

00:50But after being on The Golden Bachelor, I saw all these wonderful women that I loved

00:54and respected, and they didn't feel embarrassed about it.

00:56When the show was over, we got so much positive feedback.
