The 23-year-old former England Under-21 international has made nine Premier League appearances for the Reds.  He had loans with Aberdeen and Port Vale last season but only featured once for the former and did not play at all for the latter because of injury.  "I'm delighted, the manager has given me a chance to come and play football here and that's the main thing," Williams told the club website, external.
