Glasgow finalists at 2024’s Pub & Bar Awards

Here are some of the local establishments who made it to this year’s Glasgow Pub and Bar Awards.

00:04standard of service, contributions to the community and ability to meet customers' needs.

00:10As many of these establishments are well loved and regarded by the people who visit them as

00:14treasured spaces to socialise with friends, here are some of the places who have made it to the

00:18final. Alison Arms in Strathbungo is a Sunday Mail Pub of the Year finalist. Originally opened in 1885

00:25with its warm and cosy interior and friendly staff, the pub has maintained a long tradition

00:30as a community local. Next up, the Absinthe Yard on Brunswick Street has been nominated for Best

00:34Cocktail Bar of the Year. The Van Gogh-themed speakeasy can be found underneath the Amsterdam

00:39Bar and is accessed only by a secret passcode, making it a unique experience. They also have

00:44a long list of unique cocktails. Then there is The Raven, who are up for Craft Beer Bar of the Year.

00:48The City Centre Pub is American-influenced and runs on the slogan Beers, Burger and Banter.

00:53These awards are not exclusive to Glasgow and do consider premises throughout Scotland.
