Period anxiety: women and girls skipping sports

More than two-thirds of women and girls have avoided playing sports during their period, a national survey found.

00:24two-thirds of people have avoided playing sports during their period.

00:3076.5% skipped sports due to a fear of leaking and staining their clothes.

00:36Meanwhile period pain, low iron levels and changing moods were among some other

00:42reasons to avoid playing sports. Some survey respondents also said they did

00:48not play sports at the time of their period because they couldn't afford

00:52period products.
