00:00We're nearing the end of the meteorological summer but it's feeling more like autumn across

00:04parts of the UK this week as we see wet and windy conditions come in off the Atlantic.

00:09But for Tuesday some good spells of sunshine out there once any cloud and showery rain

00:13clears through the morning from eastern parts of England. But in between the sunny spells

00:17there are going to be some showers, particularly across the north and west. The heaviest and

00:21most frequent across parts of Scotland, the north west of Northern Ireland and the north

00:25west of England. And it's feeling fresher than recently as well due to the brisk west

00:29lee winds too. Wednesday sees mostly dry day with hazy spells of sunshine across central

00:35and southern parts of the UK but further north heavy rain with strengthening winds will spread

00:39across Scotland and Northern Ireland into parts of Northern England and the north of

00:43Wales later in the day with winds really strong around the coasts of the north west with coastal

00:48gales likely there. And it remains unsettled for the rest of the week. Further details
