00:00Rozaid Abdul Rahman, the media and strategic communications director for Datuk Seri Anwar
00:06Ibrahim, has passed away at the age of 60.
00:10Rozaid began his role with the Prime Minister on March 24, 2023.
00:15He had been battling a heart condition and was recuperating at his home in Putra Heights,
00:21Subang Jaya, until his passing on Sunday.
00:24Rozaid had a distinguished career in journalism.
00:27He previously served as the group's senior consulting editor at The Star and was the
00:32group editor of Sinar Haryan.
00:34His media journey began in April 1984 as a cadet reporter for Utusan Malaysia.
00:40In a Facebook post on Sunday, Communications Minister and Unity Government spokesman Fahmi
00:45Fadzil confirmed Rozaid's passing.
00:49Fahmi described him as a dedicated and committed professional, well-liked for his friendliness
00:54and willingness to help others.
00:57He noted that Rozaid was highly respected and that his death is a significant loss to
01:02the media industry.
01:03Fahmi also extended his condolences to Rozaid's family and friends.
