basically we were just obviously at the park having fun enjoying the summer holidays like usual
00:04
the kids having a right laugh and fun in the in the sandpit over there and then all of a sudden
00:09
they under uncovering a knife in the sandpit at first we thought it was a toy knife or some
00:15
sort of thing that's just been lobbed in there from the pound shop or something it wasn't until
00:19
the kids picked it up you could see it was a real proper knife but it was also stained at the bottom
00:24
with a bit of rust but it was just really scary more than anything because children that play in
00:29
there they're so little if they sat on that knife or even if they cut themselves worse on it they
00:35
roll around in their stomachs all the time and it was only in a sand about that deep so i think
00:40
that's what makes it even more scary and also it's just it's such a nice park it's such a family
00:46
community park and there's nothing any there's never any sort crime here or drugs or bikes
00:52
there's nothing so the fact that a knife so big like that has been found in the kids park is just
00:57
really scary more than anything uh we're regulars at the park me and my two children
01:02
uh we're here quite a lot three or four times a week maybe and um i always tell my children
01:07
whenever we go out anywhere towards everything else to always watch out sharp objects and when
01:12
we get to the sandpit i don't really tell them to watch out sharp objects and the one thing we did
01:16
find yesterday was um children that they were playing with they dug up a knife and the knife
01:21
looked like it had been used because there was about an inch and a half uh an inch and a half
01:26
worth of rust was the front end obviously that was right in the middle of the sandpit and uh
01:31
that weren't really a nice feeling at the time the kids saying that they found a knife in the
01:35
sandpit when the children were playing um it gave me a bad flashback of living in london
01:40
when i was younger if i'm honest and i didn't really expect that to be in this sandpit
