Utang luar negeri Indonesia tercatat naik 2,7% secara tahunan pada Kuartal II-2024 menjadi Rp6.415,9 triliun. Secara keseluruhan rasio utang luar negeri terhadap produk domestik bruto (PDB) tercatat sebesar 29,9% yang didominasi oleh utang jangka panjang dengan pangsa mencapai 85,7% dari total.

00:45Bank Indonesia's Governor-General Erwin Haryono explained that the figure shows an annual increase of 2.7 percent,
00:53which is higher than a 0.2 percent increase in the first quarter of 2024.
00:58Bank Indonesia noted that the increase in foreign debt comes from public and private sector debt,
01:03where the government's debt position until the second quarter of 2024 was Rp191 billion,
01:09or a 0.8 percent annual growth contract, and continued from the previous trillion contract at 0.9 percent.
01:18The growth of foreign debt is said to be influenced by the adjustment of the location of non-resident investors in state-owned or state-owned enterprises,
01:25domestic, as well as the high uncertainty of the global financial market.
01:30While private foreign debt remained in the second quarter of 2024,
01:34the position of private debt was recorded at Rp196.5 billion, or a 0.3 percent annual growth.
01:41Private foreign debt is dominated by long-term debt with an interest rate of 76.7 percent against the total of private foreign debt.
01:49Overall, Bank Indonesia confirms that the structure of foreign debt in Indonesia remains healthy.
01:53The reason is that Indonesia's debt ratio to gross domestic product is recorded at 29.9 percent,
01:58which is dominated by long-term debt with an interest rate of 85.7 percent from the total foreign debt.
