00:00Yeah, but tomorrow is going to be my last Parkinson Spiegel show, and I will be ending

00:05my full-time employment at The Score with the Radiothon.

00:11I am not allowed yet to say exactly where I'm going, but if anyone has been on the internet

00:18and checked out the speculation, I'm sure you can connect the dots.

00:21I should have the ability to say all the details on that tomorrow.

00:26This is incredibly emotional for me and has happened very, very fast.

00:34I wish I could have given a little bit more public notice, but trust me, it's happened

00:39incredibly fast in my personal life also.

00:42I'm grateful that we get a goodbye show because I truly love what Spiegs, Tani, and Shane

00:48and myself have created in Afternoons.

00:52This is a life-changing opportunity for me and my family, and so I don't leave here

00:58lightly.

01:03When I was 16 years old and I joined the radio station at Nutrir, I wanted to host

01:12Afternoon Drive in Chicago.

01:14That's been my dream for 20 years professionally.

01:18That's been my dream job, listening to Dan and Terry and Mac, Yurko, and Harry.

01:22It was Howard Stern on the way in and those two guys on the way out, probably the heyday

01:28of Afternoon Drive in this city.

01:32When I got it, I thought I was going to be here for 25 years.

01:39I can pass a lie detector test on that because I never really thought maybe it was from insecurity

01:45or self-deprecation.

01:46It wasn't for lack of ambition or belief in my talent, but I didn't really think that

01:51this was going to be possible for me.

01:53I thought maybe a side hustle or an extra project or this or that, but I didn't think

01:57this was really possible.

01:59Then I've started to change that given some things that have happened, and it's happening.

02:07I'm incredibly excited about where I'm going, and I've loved my seven and a half years here.

02:14It has literally been a dream come true.
