How do the UK's roads compare to those in Europe in your experience? Would you drive abroad - why/why not? How important is upgrading the UK's road network in your opinion?

00:00So, I ain't been to Europe in a long time, but the roads that I'm experiencing here in the UK,

00:08they're really good. They're really good. Yeah, we don't really encounter that much potholes,

00:14especially in Bristol. I'm just thinking, yeah, nah, the roads are really good.

00:19I think they're great. It's like, I grew up in the countryside and it's like the potholes,

00:22like, just along the road, and like my childhood house, were so horrible.

00:26My mum had to, like, contact the local council and be like, please fill this in.

00:30Like, every time we're driving anywhere, I'm getting punctures and stuff like that.

00:33So, I've not driven in a while, so it's not really something that I think about.

00:36But when I'm cycling, it's so frustrating because I have to, like, weave around all the roads,

00:39especially Park Street used to be really bad. Trying to cycle down there was an absolute nightmare,

00:44especially as it's so steep.

00:45Would you drive abroad?

00:47Yeah, we used to drive abroad.

00:50France is quiet. Germany, roads are quiet. Yeah, Germany's really good. Their roads are big and fast.
