00:00I was on last night, the Padres, we talked about that on Game Time Decisions.

00:08I thought there is no way that the Marlins, that I was going to trust Cabrera and the

00:13Marlins with the single hottest team in the National League, the Padres, last night.

00:19I didn't care who they were throwing.

00:21I knew that once the Padres got to the bullpen, that was their biggest advantage, not to mention

00:26at the plate.

00:28And yet what happens, well, you know, what happens is Merrill, the rookie, has to show

00:33up and save them to tie that game to send it to extra innings.

00:37And then what happens?

00:38Well, the former closer of the Marlins, who is now the closer of the Padres, came in and

00:46shut the door while the bullpen of Miami, once again, for another straight night.

00:51They lost to Cincinnati the night prior in extra innings, and they lost in extra innings

00:56to the Padres again last night.

00:58And today, San Diego is sending Matt Waldron, the knuckleballer, to the mound here.

01:05Just love the Padres.

01:06The reason that we love the Padres and why they're where at right now, they're 15-3 since

01:12the All-Star break, 15-3, which is crazy.

01:15Waldron's also 5-1 in his last six starts under teams that are under 500.

01:22The reason the Padres have been this good over the last month is because they beat the

01:26teams they're supposed to beat.

01:29They're supposed to beat the Marlins.

01:31They're going to beat the Marlins again here today.

01:33I wouldn't mind maybe a Padres lay the half run in the first five, or just go ahead and

01:40take the Padres' team total up and over.

01:42Those bats are crazy.

01:44And I think it continues here in Miami today.
