The new series of The Yorkshire Vet starts on Tuesday (Aug 13) with Peter Wright operating in conditions he's not seen in more than 40 years on the job as he delivers a stuck lamb as building work is going on around him.

This is the 19th series for the hit show which started in 2015 and started Channel 5's extensive programming of subjects in Yorkshire.
The new series comes just after the spin off show - The Yorkshire Vet At Home With The Greens - which has been really popular with viewers giving an insight into the lives of Steve and Jean Green.
The Yorkshire Vet follows all the drama, laughter and tears as a goup of town and country vets, at four different practices across the county, help animals of all kinds.
Christopher Timothy, who once played the world’s most famous vet, James Herriot, provides the series narration.

00:15...there's a delivery outside.
00:18There's quite a hive of activity here today.
00:24Open up that old vent here.
00:26Shall we?
00:28I don't think I've been where there's been a building site before.

00:35Very true.
00:36Yeah?

00:42That yellowy colour there is foetal matter and that tells me that that lamb's distressed.
00:47With all that yellow, it shows he's been on the way some time.
00:51Yes!
00:52And that's why I'm just a bit dubious. I hope I can get him out alive.
00:56Yeah.
