00:00All right, Philip, we're here at the big night, the premiere.
00:05How are you feeling?
00:06What's going through your mind?
00:07It's just great.
00:08It's good to be here.
00:09I think after the writer's strike and all the stuff that's happened in the world, especially
00:11in this industry, it's just amazing to be out.
00:13I feel very privileged to be here and to be meeting people and seeing something that we
00:16worked on get up on the big screen.
00:19Being in a movie is such a long process.
00:21I'm sure that it has a special place in your heart now, right?
00:24So how is this compared to other projects you've been in?
00:27I mean, look, like you said, they're all pretty similar.
00:29You do them and then they kind of disappear into the ether for a while and then you get
00:32a phone call saying, hey, this this one's going to see the light of day.
00:34So let's do it.
00:35Let's go and see it.
00:36And so it's been great to like, you know, the process of making the movie, doing the
00:39ADR, seeing what actually got captured on film and then and then getting together with
00:44everyone and reminding yourselves why you had such a good time.
00:46So did they call you up this morning?
00:48They're like, hey, we're having a premiere after all.
00:49Yeah, it was pretty much that I got on a plane last night and I was like, all right, let's
00:52go down here.
00:53Well, you're here.
00:54You made it.
00:55And we're so happy that you're here.
00:56Thanks.
00:57So what are you guys going to expect walking out of that theater?
00:59Well, look, I mean, it's a big action film.
01:01Neil Marshall's a great director and he collaborated with Charlotte in a fantastic way.
01:06Sean Pertwee got to work on this.
01:08Hoji Fortuna.
01:09We had a really amazing cast.
01:10They were like the three amigos.
01:11We kind of hung out, learned all our stunts together.
01:14And it was just this process of working through the difficulties of covid, but still making
01:18a kick ass movie.
01:19And I think I think they pulled it off without giving anything away.
01:23Tell us a little bit about your character.
01:24Are we going to love him?
01:25Hate him?
01:26Both.
01:27Yeah.
01:28Roberts.
01:29Roberts.
01:30Complicated.
01:31And yeah, definitely both.
01:32And give a shout out to somebody on the crew.
01:33Did you make any friends?
01:34Did you have any funny experiences?
01:35Anything crazy?
01:36Look, Sean Pertwee and Hoji Fortuna, we just had they were my brothers on this movie.
01:40I was away from my wife and kids for like six weeks making this movie.
01:44Didn't get to see them.
01:45And Sean and Hoji were just they were my boys.
01:47We went out and ate meals all the time and traveled together.
01:50And just they were they were so good.
01:52And they're such solid guys.
01:53And I think they do an amazing job in the film as well.
01:55Any advice for up and coming actors who want to be at their own movie premiere?
01:58What would you say?
02:00Look, don't quit.
02:02Enjoy the journey.
02:03It's, you know, the whole lie of arriving.
02:06I mean, this is this is all here right now and it's gone in half an hour.
02:09So just keep working and keep enjoying the process.
02:12And don't forget to make friends along the way and be kind to the people on the way up
02:15because you're going to see him on the way down.
02:17Last question.
02:18What's next for you?
02:19I just finished a Netflix series called Ransom Canyon.
02:22We were down in Albuquerque for the last six months shooting.
02:24It's Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly.
02:26It's an adaptation of a of a Western romance novel, and I think it's going to be a lot
02:29of fun.
02:30All right.
02:31I would agree with that.
02:32That sounds like a lot of fun.
02:33Well, thank you so much for stopping by.
02:34Congrats on your premiere.
02:36Cheers.
