00:22So, Philadelphia, I launched my campaign for the President of the United States a mere
00:28two weeks ago, and it's been a bit of a whirlwind.
00:37And just last night, the delegates to the Democratic National Convention finished voting,
00:43and so I stand before you today to proudly announce I am now officially the Democratic nominee
01:00for President of the United States.
01:05Since the day that I announced my candidacy, I've set out to find a partner who can help
01:11build this brighter future.
01:19A leader who will help unite our nation and move us forward.
01:26A fighter for the middle class.
01:29A patriot who believes, as I do, in the extraordinary promise of America.
01:42A promise of freedom, opportunity, and justice, not just for some, but for all.
02:03So, Pennsylvania, I'm here today because I found such a leader.
02:12Governor Tim Walz of the great state of Minnesota.
02:20And to his former high school football players, he was Coach.
02:30Coach. Coach.
02:35And in 91 days, the nation will know Coach Waltz by another name, Vice President of the United States.
02:53And as I think everyone here can see, Tim Walz was the kind of teacher and mentor
03:00that every child in America dreams of having, and that every kid deserves.
03:12The kind of coach, because he's the kind of person who makes people feel like they belong
03:20and then inspires them to dream big.
03:23And that's the kind of Vice President he will be.
03:27And now, welcome the next Vice President of the United States, Tim Walz.

03:58thank you for bringing back the joy.
04:09I'm thrilled to be on this journey with you and Doug, this incredible journey.
04:13And Pennsylvania, I know you know this, but my God, what a treasure you have in Josh Shapiro.
04:23And I can't wait for all of you and America to get to know my incredible wife, Gwen,
04:28a 29-year public school educator.
04:39Don't ever underestimate teachers.
04:50And our two beautiful kids, Hope and Gus, I couldn't be prouder to be on this ticket
04:57and to help Vice President Harris become what we all know is very, very good for us to think about,
05:03next President of the United States of America.
