00:00I feel like this is the one full of music that I've been harboring over the past half decade
00:05just for the perfect moment and I feel like no moment is more perfect than that.
00:10Khalid just dropped his new album Sincere and to celebrate we're looking back at some of his
00:14impressive chart achievements. This is Billboard Explains Khalid's massive chart success.
00:25Khalid made his Billboard chart debut in 2016 with Location.
00:30It spent 5 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot R&B Songs chart and became his first Billboard Hot 100 hit,
00:36peaking at No. 16. His follow-up single Young, Dumb & Broke was also a hit,
00:41topping the Hot R&B Songs chart for 11 weeks and getting up to No. 18 on the Hot 100.
00:47Both songs appeared on his debut album American Teen, which ruled the top R&B
00:51albums chart for 18 weeks and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.
00:56Soon after Khalid racked up his first three Hot 100 top 10 hits thanks to a series of collabs.
01:02He teamed up with Logic and Alicia Cara on 1-800-273-8255, which reached No. 1 in 2017.
01:10The next year his duet with Normani, Love Lies, got to No. 9 and in 2019 he joined
01:16forces with Benny Blanco and Halsey on East Side, another No. 9 hit.
01:21The same year Khalid added two more top 10s with his single Better,
01:29which peaked at No. 8 and Talk, racing to the No. 3 spot.
01:33Those two songs were off of Khalid's sophomore album Free Spirit,
01:37which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
01:40In total he has racked up 32 Hot 100 hits in his career, with 5 making it to the top 10.
01:46Khalid also made Billboard history becoming
01:48the first artist to hold the entire top 5 simultaneously on the Hot R&B Songs chart.
01:54Earlier this year he picked up two more top 10s on the Hot R&B Songs chart
01:58with his tracks Please Don't Fall In Love With Me and Adore You.
02:02He has also proven to be a force in multiple genres and has had different
02:06singles make the R&B, Pop, Rap, Latin, Dance and Rock genre charts.
