00:00The city's newest visitor attraction Splash Tours Liverpool has launched.
00:06The pink and blue amphibious vehicle welcomes its passengers on board at the
00:09Royal Albert Dock taking a 60-minute land and water tour across Liverpool
00:15city centre taking in the must-see landmarks. So back in 2013 dad had the
00:21crazy idea to start a tour in Windsor and since then it's kind of snowballed
00:25into a manufacturing business we wanted to expand the tour and we didn't have
00:29anywhere else to go so we decided to build them ourselves so we got some
00:32expert help along the way it's been a real project and the vehicle we've got
00:36now is fantastic. As well as having family in Liverpool there's another
00:40reason that the Windsor based business chose to launch here in the city. I am
00:46actually a Liverpool fan we often joke and say the main reason for starting the
00:50tour is so I can go to more games but it's such a vibrant city everyone is so
00:54friendly the reception we've had has been amazing so it's a joy to be here
00:58and yeah pleasure to start the tour. Six tours run daily from Wednesday to
01:02Sunday taking in the sights such as the Royal Ivor building Liverpool Cathedral
01:07and the iconic St. George's Hall before returning to the world-famous dock with
01:12a splash showcasing the sights of the Royal Albert Dock. Most importantly the
01:17splash into the Royal Albert Docks Liverpool a fantastic commentary we've
01:21been working with our guides now for the last month and they've really honed in
01:24on the humor the accurate history facts so that's a really great great thing to
01:29have. Following seven years of design and development and months of in-depth
01:33testing and surveys Splash Tours Liverpool is at the cutting edge of
01:37amphibious vehicle innovation. So the vehicle behind me is a Seahorse Mark 3
01:43it's been eight years in development it is built from the ground up and we're
01:47the only people in the world to build from the ground up so instead of taking
01:50a bus and making it float we've built a boat and made it into a bus so it's
01:54kind of the safe option which is why we've built it that way and we're so
01:58proud to bring it to Liverpool.
