00:05The obvious name that jumps to mind is Aaron Judge.

00:07Aaron Judge to win the award or any other player known as the Field Joe.

00:12I'll let you talk numbers and then let's talk about what the field looks like.

00:16Yeah, both of these guys have a shot at the Triple Crown.

00:19I think Ohtani a little bit more than Judge, we'll get to him in a second, but you know,

00:24you got Gunnar Henderson, you got Bobby Witt having great seasons.

00:26Bobby Witt, by the way, the only guy playing better than Lawrence Butler over the last

00:3030 days with a higher OPS in all baseball is Bobby Witt.

00:34So an injury to Aaron Judge, which God forbid, I mean, Yankee fans are already on the top

00:39of the ledge.

00:40This would just send them right over it.

00:42Let's say that toe becomes an issue again or some other problem for Aaron Judge, like

00:45that's going to be an issue, right?

00:47I think that's the only thing that could stop him from winning this award.

00:50He plays in such a public team.

00:51I don't know if anybody else, he has Soto with him, right?

00:57So you can say, well, you know, he's got another big superstar with him.

00:59Bobby Witt doesn't.

01:00What Bobby Witt's doing is more impressive.

01:01Gunnar Henderson, I think, is equally impressive.

01:03Sure, the race could change if the Yankees continue to tailspin, you have to imagine

01:09the Yankees are going to level out at some point, they just have too much talent to not

01:13level out.

01:14So if you're going to struggle, this is the time to struggle.

01:16You don't want to struggle in September.

01:17You don't want to be limping into the playoffs and having no momentum.

01:21So we'll see if the Yankees can figure things out.

01:23But right now, look, minus 370.

01:26I think they're telling you this award is pretty much signed, sealed, and delivered

01:29for Aaron Judge.

01:30And I kind of agree at this point, barring catastrophe.

01:33Okay.

01:34Now, with that said, I think both the Yankees and Aaron Judge are praying that Juan Soto

01:38wins this award because look at it from the side of Juan Soto.

01:42Judge wins this award.

01:43Juan Soto says, yo, if I was anywhere else, that award would be mine.

01:47If he cares about things like that, if Juan Soto wins the award, they can sign him long

01:51term.

01:52I don't know if that's the deal breaker, but just the thought in my mind when you're

01:55talking about player versus the field, but yeah, it's judges to lose.
