00:00The Cubs beat the Yankees 4-1 on Sunday.
00:04They got things off early, let's just say.
00:07In fact, how about the first batter of the game?
00:10Your boy, Michael Bush Beer on Marquee Network.
00:15You like that combination of on-base plus slug at the top of the batting order?
00:19Swing and a high fly ball out towards right center field.
00:21That one back. That one is gone!
00:24Home run from the leadoff hitter, Michael Bush!
00:27And it's 1-0!
00:30And they're fired up in the Cubs dugout.
00:34Boog Shambi with the call on Marquee.
00:39Yeah, the Yankee offense got kind of sleepy Saturday and Sunday against the Cubs, right?
00:44Boyd completely mowed him down on Saturday.
00:49And then Imanaga, 7 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 6 Ks on Sunday.
00:53So not a good...
00:54That guy pitches well for a little guy.
00:56I mean, he's a small guy out on the mound.
00:59And I'm just blown away by his stuff.
01:03Like, he's got real numbers.
01:06I know, you know, he's had injuries and whatever.
01:09But he can pitch.
01:12He certainly can.
01:13A few other things from the Yankees over the weekend.
01:15Bellinger had a three-homer game Friday night against his old team.
01:19First time playing the Cubs, he had three homers against the men.
01:22He almost had a fourth.
01:23That was a hell of a catch.
01:24I guess that was PCA out on the first row or else he would have had four homers.
01:29Rob, oh, it was Tucker.
01:30That's right.
01:31There you go.
01:31Tucker in right.
01:32Nice job, Luke.
01:33Aaron Judge had his 350th career homer on Saturday.
01:37He became the fastest player ever to reach 350 homers.
01:40He did it in just 1,088 games.
01:42The previous fastest was Maguire in 1,280.
01:47So, quite the pace.
01:49On the premium, lad.
01:51He was on the premium, too.
01:53He was on probably, if there's even something above the premium,
02:00he was probably on that.
02:01Like, super, super high octane.
02:05Zynthetic is what Maguire was on.
02:07Max Freed has a blister issue.
02:09Now, he wasn't going to pitch in the game tomorrow night anyway.
02:12But he says it's getting better.
02:14Now, we'll see if he can go out of the all-star break, hopefully.
02:18Who doesn't have blister?
02:19It was kind of a tough end of the first half for the Yankees.
02:22I think the only way that we could do that today is to get the summation
02:25of the first half and the Yankees season so far at the break
02:29from manager Aaron Boone.
02:31Incomplete.
02:35What do you mean?
02:36You know, there's been a lot of good.
02:37There's obviously been two weeks where we really struggled.
02:41But, you know, we set out in spring training and the start of the year.
02:49A month and a half.
02:50To get back to the playoffs and go chase after a world title.
02:53You know, that's – and all those hopes and dreams are right there
02:57and still exist for us.
02:58So, if nothing else, we've put ourselves in a position to be –
03:03that that is something that is attainable for us.
03:06So, it's a long way to go still.
03:09We've got to keep getting better.
03:12A long way to go.
03:13But, you know, we're in position to do what we need to do.
03:16And hopefully, you know, after today, these four days in the physical
03:23and mental grind of a long season, hopefully there's that positive reset
03:28for some guys to get a breather, to get a blow,
03:31and come with that hyper-focus of, you know, understanding what our mission is.
03:37So, he, you know, he's always Mr. PR, positive spin, et cetera.
03:42At the end of the day, he's never got it done.
03:47That's just all there is to it.
03:48So, they don't win it.
03:50And I've got to be honest with you.
03:52There's no way I think that team's winning the World Series right now.
03:55You know, I've got to tell you at the break, they're just –
03:58in my view, they are not – they're not the one.
04:02You know what I mean?
04:02There's only one, and it's not them.
04:05They're beatable.
04:06They're very beatable.
04:08And, you know, when they play good teams, they lose.
04:11That's just all there is to it, right?
04:12Like, there's no other way of looking at it.
04:14They're not even – in my view, they're not even –
04:19I don't think they're capable of getting back to the World Series,
04:22to be honest with you.
04:23I don't see them winning a pennant.
04:24I really don't.
04:26You're not going to get any kind of disagreement out of me with any of that
04:30because you know how I feel.
04:32I don't think that they're anywhere even close to being near some of these
04:35other teams.
