00:00That's right Alison, a lot of excitement here in Bercy and a lot of Americans of course for that hotly anticipated comeback of Simone Biles, the 27-year-old gymnast with four Olympic gold medals to her name.
00:13She's considered already one of the greatest gymnasts of all time and obviously a lot of people wanting her to do well here today for that comeback after what happened in Tokyo three years ago where she suffered from a bout of the twisties.
00:27That's when a gymnast loses their bearings whilst in the air. She pulled out of most competitions which shocked the entire world as she did come back to win a bronze on the balance beam.
00:39She then took some time out of the sport and changed the conversation on mental health in the world of sports.
00:46Many people really feeling like her story speaks to many and obviously lots of people wanting her to do well here in Paris.
00:55She made a spectacular comeback at the World Championships last year in Belgium.
01:01She won four gold medals to add to a remarkable record tally of 30 medals at the World Championships.
01:08She's looking very comfortable here. She's looking very confident.
01:12She's already got five skills to her name and she could potentially add a sixth here at Bercy in the qualifiers.
01:20She could be performing a sixth skill on the uneven bars.
01:24If she does so, then she'll become the first active gymnast to hold a skill in all four apparatus in gymnastics.
01:31And for Team USA, she'll be anchoring three out of four of those apparatus.
01:35Team USA will be looking to get back that gold medal in the team event because they had to settle for silver three years ago here at Tokyo.
