00:17 The 2024 Olympics aim to kick-start a new era of sustainability and green innovation

00:23 for the Games. With its 8.8 billion euro budget, France has vowed to make historic progress

00:29 in reducing the environmental impact by halving the carbon footprint of previous Olympic events.

00:44 of sporting and cultural celebration and also because we will continue to prepare for the

00:52 With six months to go, organisers are working flat out to complete the building of all the

00:57 sporting venues, with 84% of venues completed so far. Other concerns have been weighing

01:03 down on the organisers and French citizens.

01:06 The Paris mayor said the transport system would not be fully ready. The doubling of

01:10 transport fares during the Games and citizens asked to work from home to free up transport

01:15 space has further angered Parisians.

01:17 There's still work to be done on the transport system and it's going to have to be done.

01:24 Uncertainty during the opening ceremony and the first ever digital ticketing system are

01:28 also major concerns which will present a crucial test of how successfully Paris can host the
