00:17olive green with golden motifs, Baju Melayu Teluk Belanga paired with Songkok and Sampin
00:23and Baju Kurung.
00:24They cruised in boat number 45 together with Malawi and the Maldives.
00:29Paddle diver Bertrand Roddick-Lysis and sailor Nur Shazrin Mohamad Latif were the flag bearers
00:34for Malaysia.
00:35The other athletes were Nur Dabita Sabri, Khairul Nizam Mohamad Effendi, Ashley Lau
00:40and Tan Ro Shin accompanied by both the chef de mission and his deputy and two other officials.
00:46A total of 205 nations and regions took part in the parade with Greece being the first
00:51and the hosting nation, France, coming in last.
00:55Paris is hosting the Olympics for the third time, having previously done so in 1900 and 1924.
01:01For the first time in Olympics history, the opening ceremony was held outside the confines
01:05of a stadium in the heart of Paris, watched by some 300,000 people and millions more via live telecast.
