00:00The family said to me that they want to send a message of calm to the local community and the
00:05Greater Manchester community that their priority is looking after the family's health and welfare
00:10in the short term but also obviously seeking justice and they want justice not just to be
00:14done but seen to be done in an open and transparent way. That's why the Independent Office for Police
00:19Conduct are so crucial that they're engaged with them so early on and the family also made quite
00:25clear that they're not engaged in any kind of political agenda, they're not supporting any
00:29protests, they're not engaging in protests and they're not going to attend the protests. For
00:33them this is a human tragedy that's happened to them that has perhaps got wider implications but
00:39what their priority is right now is seeking justice and making sure it's done in the right
00:43way and in a calm way and through the proper processes.
