00:00I do think it's problematic. I think millions of the American people believe that this is problematic.
00:04This is not the way the system is supposed to work. There's a reason it's unprecedented.
00:08You don't just, you know, steamroll the rules of the process because you decide that your candidates are no longer successful.
00:14That's what's happened here. I think you're right about that.
00:16We'll see how the campaign unfolds.
00:19She will not be tough to beat, though, not at all.
00:21We're excited about Congress.
00:24I have to suggest that the president should resign.
00:27If everyone acknowledges that he's incapable of running a campaign that's clearly incapable of running a campaign.
00:35It has been, and it remains, the honor and privilege of my lifetime to work for President Biden.
00:41I've been working for him now for more than 22 years.
00:44And if you step back for a second and think about what he inherited when he took office,
00:52maybe the worst health crisis in at least 100 years in this country,
00:59the worst economic crisis going back to the Great Recession,
01:03the worst democratic crisis in as long as I can think.
01:06And we had countries around the world looking at all of this and circling like sharks
01:14to see if they could take advantage of the perceived weakness of the United States.
01:20And what he did, what he's done, what he continues to do over these three and a half years
01:25and going forward through the remainder of this term has been to turn all of that around in a powerful way.
01:30The investments that we've made here at home, in our future, in our competitiveness,
01:36whether it's through the infrastructure bill, whether it's through the Chips and Science Act,
01:40whether it's through the Inflation Reduction Act,
01:43countries around the world see that we're serious about investing in ourselves and competing strongly.
01:48President Biden's selfless decision has given the Democratic Party the opportunity to unite behind a new nominee,
01:56and boy, oh boy, are we enthusiastic.
01:59When I spoke with her Sunday, she said she wanted the opportunity to win the nomination on her own
02:06and to do so from the grassroots up, not top down.
02:11We deeply respected that. Hakeem and I did.
02:15She said she would work to earn the support of our party, and boy, has she done so in quick order.
02:23Vice President Harris has done a truly impressive job securing the majority of delegates needed to win
02:30the Democratic Party's nomination to be our next president of the United States.
02:35The vast majority of my senators quickly and enthusiastically endorsed her.
02:41So now that the process has played out from the grassroots bottom up,
02:46we are here today to throw our support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.
02:53Joe Biden will go down in American history as one of the most consequential presidents of all time.
03:04President Joe Biden has made the selfless decision to pass the torch to Vice President Kamala Harris,
03:14who is ready, willing and able to lead us into the future.
03:23Kamala Harris will fight for our freedom. Kamala Harris will fight for our families.
03:29Kamala Harris will fight for our future.
03:32I'm proud to strongly endorse Kamala Harris to be the 47th president of the United States of America.
03:40We're going to hold the Senate. We're going to win the House.
03:43We're going to elect Kamala Harris as our next president in November.
