00:00The recognition and rewards function, themed nothing but the best, aimed to
00:05recognize and award 18 members of the EAAZ organization. In our opening
00:10remarks, Carol Bain expressed the mission of the EAAZ as part of the TTARP and
00:16supporting senior persons and ensuring that they are still active in society
00:21through opportunities that allow them to socialize with each other.
00:25We at EAAZ work towards enhancing the lives of our members. We promote their
00:33independence, dignity, and purpose. We work towards improving the image of
00:39their golden years and to ensure they enjoy what time they have with us. At this
00:46stage of our lives, we are fragile, not strong, not sturdy as we used to be. We
00:55are delicate and vulnerable. In reflecting on the history of the
00:59organization, Sylvia Sharlow, the head of the Education Committee, expressed
01:04gratitude to the members for their continued support. Today, the arena stands as a
01:12vibrant and thriving community, thanks to the unwavering dedication and hard
01:18work of our members. You have been the driving force behind our success. As we
01:28look to the future, we remain committed to our mission of supporting and
01:34uplifting our senior community. We will continue to advocate for your rights,
01:41provide valuable resources, and create spaces for meaningful connections. This
01:49year's award ceremony celebrated members who have provided immense support and
01:53helped to build the organization into what it is today.
