The recognition and rewards function, themed nothing but the best, aimed to
00:05
recognize and award 18 members of the EAAZ organization. In our opening
00:10
remarks, Carol Bain expressed the mission of the EAAZ as part of the TTARP and
00:16
supporting senior persons and ensuring that they are still active in society
00:21
through opportunities that allow them to socialize with each other.
00:25
We at EAAZ work towards enhancing the lives of our members. We promote their
00:33
independence, dignity, and purpose. We work towards improving the image of
00:39
their golden years and to ensure they enjoy what time they have with us. At this
00:46
stage of our lives, we are fragile, not strong, not sturdy as we used to be. We
00:55
are delicate and vulnerable. In reflecting on the history of the
00:59
organization, Sylvia Sharlow, the head of the Education Committee, expressed
01:04
gratitude to the members for their continued support. Today, the arena stands as a
01:12
vibrant and thriving community, thanks to the unwavering dedication and hard
01:18
work of our members. You have been the driving force behind our success. As we
01:28
look to the future, we remain committed to our mission of supporting and
01:34
uplifting our senior community. We will continue to advocate for your rights,
01:41
provide valuable resources, and create spaces for meaningful connections. This
01:49
year's award ceremony celebrated members who have provided immense support and
01:53
helped to build the organization into what it is today.
